Catriona Grant
Founder and Consultant Social Worker
Catriona Grant is a Consultant Social Worker who co-founded PAR, a grassroots organisation, in 2015 while working at the Serenity Café in Edinburgh.
She brings extensive expertise in social work, law, and research, along with her personal experience as a kinship carer. Catriona is a registered social worker and a Practice Educator.
She holds an LLB in Law with distinction, a Diploma in Professional Legal Practice, and an MSc in Research. Her thesis was titled "A Sea of Ethical Dilemmas: An Exploration of the Ethical Dilemmas Faced by Social Workers Intervening with Families Impacted by Domestic Abuse." Catriona specialises in human rights, domestic abuse, risk assessment, child protection, and supporting autistic children.
As a consultant for PAR, she leads the Edinburgh Participation Project and oversees the organisation's charitable governance. Additionally, she serves as an Expert Witness. Catriona is passionate about advocating for mothers and enjoys wild swimming and yoga.
